Feasibility Study Prepared for Constriction of Electricity Transmission Line between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey

Presently the feasibility study is being prepared for the project of construction of electricity transmission line that will connect Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, Trend reports quoting Azerenergy joint-stock company.

According to the assessment of the experts the project may be completed after 4-5 years. It will provide an access to the European energy space. The document on construction of this electricity transmission line was signed during the meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev and Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili and Primer Minister of Turkey, Rajab Teyyub Erdogan in Tbilisi on February 7, 2007. The Vice President of Azerenergy, Marlen Askerov, said that they needs to prepare feasibility study to determine the cost of the project. He said that key part of the work will be carried out in the territory of Turkey and Georgia.
