Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has put into operation 8 new wells since the beginning of May.
A well with the capacity of 200,000 cm of gas and 20 tons of condensate per 24 hours production has been drilled in the Bahar field. A well with the capacity of 15 tons of oil per 24 hours production is in operation in the Muddy Volcano field. Three wells in the Oil Rocks field produce 52 tons of oil per 24 hours.
Each of the three wells in the Muradkhanly, Zagly and Balakhany fields produce 16 tons of oil per 24 hours.
The drilling work of the SOCAR is carried out by the Complex Drilling Activity trust established in March and uniting all drilling departments of the company. Since the establishment of the trust the drilling activity has been held faster and more efficiently, a source at the SOCAR noted.
