Bank deposits of the population of Azerbaijani districts as of late January 2019 made up 667,140,000 million manats, which is 20.34 percent more compared to the same period from last year, according to a report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Trend reports.
The share of Azerbaijani districts in the total volume of all bank deposits in the country as of late January 2019 was 8.26 percent.
Around 77.3 percent (516.02 million manats) of all deposits in the country's districts for the recording period account for savings in the national currency. For comparison, the share of manat deposits in Baku made up 33.9 percent.
In late January 2019, the volume of deposits in Baku amounted to 7.4 billion manats, including almost 2.5 billion manats in national currency.
The average annual interest rate on loans for January 2019 was 3.8 percent in the country's regions and 3.7 percent in Baku.
