In the framework of the international conference “Capital Market of Uzbekistan” in Tashkent, speakers from Kazakh Astana International Exchange (AIX) spoke about the opportunities offered by AIX today to stimulate the flow of foreign investment in the Uzbek economy, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media.
Experts exchanged views on what measures will contribute to qualitative changes in the country's capital market.
They talked about the growth prospects of the securities market of Uzbekistan, discussed the possibilities of international cooperation, in particular, the entry of local companies into global markets, and investment in Uzbekistan.
The debut issue of Uzbekistan Eurobonds is also scheduled within the framework of the conference.
The government of Uzbekistan is actively attracting investors, including through the privatization of state-owned enterprises. According to AIX representatives, one of the effective ways to attract foreign capital could be the first public sale of shares of Uzbek companies at Astana International Exchange.
