Foreign trade turnover in Georgia (excluding undeclared trade) amounted to $9.19 billion in January-September 2019, which is 0.5 percent more than the same period last year, Trend reports referring to the Georgian National Statistical Office (Geostat).
Exports amounted to $2.71 billion, which is 11.1 percent more than the same period last year, while imports amounted to $6.47 billion, a decrease of 3.3 percent.
Thus, the negative trade balance amounted to $3.75 billion, and the foreign trade turnover amounted to 40.8 percent of total trade during this period.
Georgia's foreign trade turnover in January-August 2019 amounted to $8.12 billion, which is 0.01 percent more year-on-year, said Geostat.
