Volume of Central Bank bonds placed at Uzbek currency exchange revealed

The Central Bank in Uzbekistan announced information on the results of the auction held on September 11, 2020 for the placement of Central Bank bonds with a circulation period of 12 months, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank.

The Central Bank held an auction at the Uzbek Republican Currency Exchange for the placement of Central Bank bonds with a circulation period of 12 months, with a nominal value of 1 million soums ($97) in the amount of 200,000 pieces, with a total issue volume of 200 billion soums ($19,5 million).

In order to participate in the auction, six commercial banks received funds in the amount of 244.5 billion soums ($23.8 million). Of these, competitive bids for the total amount of 200 billion soums were submitted for the purchase of 200,000 bonds.

During the auction, 200,000 bonds (100 percent of the total volume of the issue) were placed in the amount of 200.2 billion soums ($19.5 million).

The total volume of redemption of bonds placed at the auction will amount to 200 billion soums.

As a result of the auction, the weighted average yield of securities amounted to 13.88 percent per annum, with a minimum yield of 13.81 percent and a maximum yield or cut-off price of 14 percent.

Earlier, on September 9 the Central Bank also held an auction at the Uzbek Republican Currency Exchange for the placement of Central Bank bonds with a circulation period of 12 months, with a nominal value of 1 million soums ($97) in the amount of 200,000 pieces, with a total issue volume of 200 billion soums ($19.5 million)

To participate in the auction on September 9, nine commercial banks received funds in the amount of 353 billion soums ($34.4 million). Of these, competitive bids for the total amount of 200 billion soums ($19.5 million) were submitted for the purchase of 200,000 bonds.
