The price of apartments in the Tehran - the capital of Iran increased by 110 percent per square meter in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 22-October 21, 2020) compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
According to the report, the average price of apartments per square meter in Tehran was 267 million rials (about $6,357) in the seventh month.
“This figure increased by 10 percent compared to the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 22-September 21),” the report said.
According to the report, 8,700 apartments were sold in Tehran city in the 7th month. This is an increase of 154 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year and 2.3 percent compared to the 6th month.
In addition, the average price of each apartment in Tehran per square meter was 208 million rials (about $4,973) within 7 months of the current Iranian year (March 20-October 21, 2020). And the prices increased by 64.3 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, the report added.
“A total of 64,600 apartments were sold over 7 months. This is an increase of 77.6 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the report noted.
