Foreign investments in Iran’s industry, mine, trade sectors surges

The value of foreign investments made in Iran's industrial, mining and trade sectors increased by 30 percent during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

According to the report, thus, it was approved to invest $1.02 billion worth of foreign investments to Iran's industrial, mining and trade sectors.

“These investments were approved to invest based on 75 projects within 7 months,” the report said.

According to the report, the number of projects increased by 36 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

While in the same period last Iranian year, it was approved to invest $785 million worth of foreign investments to Iran's industrial, mining and trade sectors.

Despite the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in Iran, as well as US sanctions against Iran, foreign investments are growing.
