The balance of bank loans in Iran increased by 35.5 percent during the first five months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through August 21, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
The balance of deposits also increased by 36.7 percent compared to the same period of the last Iranian year.
The following table presents the balance of loans, foreign currency deposits of banks and financial institutions for the reported five-month period, according to the official exchange rate ($1=42,000 rials):
