Foreign investments in Iran's Razavi Khorasan Province announced

A total of 110 million euro have been invested on 29 projects in the Razavi Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran) since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to date, Director General for Economic Affairs and Finance Department of the province, Hossein Amir Rahimi said, Trend reports citing the department’s website.

Amir Rahimi said that the number of projects related to foreign investment in the province increased by 152 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“As a result of the foreign investments, 5 facilities have already been put into operation,” he added.

The director general emphasized that 14 more projects are to be approved by the end of 10th month of the current Iranian year (from December 21, 2020 through January 20, 2021). In total, $140 million will be invested on these projects.

According to him, thus, the value of foreign investment in Razavi Khorasan Province will reach $250 million.

Amir Rahimi noted that in general, it is planned to be invested about $425 million within 60 projects in Iran's Razavi Khorasan Province in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 to March 21, 2021). Thus, this figure will increase by 100 percent in terms of number and 200 percent in terms of value, compared to last Iranian year.

The director general stressed that about 70 percent of foreign investment in Razavi Khorasan Province belongs to Afghan investors.
