The Azerbaijani consolidated budget revenues made up 6.97 billion manat ($4.1 billion) in the first quarter of 2021, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijan’s Finance Ministry.
According to the ministry, this figure is by 1.46 billion manat ($860 million) or 26.5 percent more than in the same period of 2020.
From January through March 2021, the state budget expenditure made up over 5.92 billion manat ($3.48 billion), up by 3.6 percent or 204.4 million ($120.2 million) year on year.
Thus, a surplus of over 1.04 billion manat ($610 million) has formed in the Azerbaijani state budget.
Overall, in 2020 the consolidated state budget revenues amounted to more than 24.46 billion manat ($14.4 billion), and expenditure – 29.16 billion manat ($17.15 billion). As a result, a deficit in the amount of 4.7 billion manat ($2.7 billion) was formed in the budget.
