The balance of bank loans in Iran increased by 48.1 percent during the first 10 months of the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through January 19, 2021), compared to the same period preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through January 20, 2020), Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
The balance of deposits also increased by 43.7 percent over the 10 months compared to the same period of the preceding Iranian year.
The following table presents the balance of loans, foreign currency deposits of banks and financial institutions for the reported ten-month period, according to the official exchange rate ($1 - 42,000 rials):
