Bank Keshavarzi Iran reveals issued loans

The Bank Keshavarzi Iran issued loans worth about 612 trillion rials (about $14.5 billion) in the agricultural sector over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the bank’s website.

According to report, the loans were issued to provide financial resources needed by farmers and on the processing industry. The amount of issued loans increased by 148 trillion rials (about $3.52 billion) compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020).

Bank Keshavarzi Iran issued loans worth 32 trillion rials (about $761 million) for the purchase of agricultural machinery in the last Iranian year. This is an increase of 75 percent or about 14 trillion rials (about $333 million) compared to the preceding Iranian year.

Moreover, the bank issued loans worth 31.3 trillion rials (about $745 million) for the development of greenhouses within last Iranian year.

Reportedly, the Bank Keshavarzi Iran operates mainly in the agricultural sector of Iran.
