Income of Azerbaijan's population down from Jan. through May 2021

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 9

The nominal income of the Azerbaijani population decreased as of early June 2021 compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

The nominal income of the population as of June 1 amounted to 22.09 billion manat ($12.9 billion), which is by 1.3 percent less than in 2020.

During the reporting period, nominal GDP amounted to 31.5 billion manat ($18.5 billion), which is by 14.1 percent more than a year earlier.

GDP in the non-oil sector amounted to 17.3 billion manat ($10.2 billion) from January through May 2021, increasing by 9.7 percent compared to the same period of 2020.

Investments in fixed assets exceeded 4.9 billion manat ($2.9 billion), decreasing by 0.01 percent compared to the same period of last year.
