Azerbaijan allocated 8.2 billion manat ($4.8 billion) for the development of the socio-economic sphere from January through August 2021, Trend reports via State Statistics Committee.
This is 423 million manat ($248 million), or 10 percent less than from January through August 2020. About 8.7 billion manat ($5.1 billion) was invested in this area in 2020.
About 5.6 billion manat ($3.2 billion), or 68.5 percent of the investments, was directed to the construction of production facilities.
Some 1.9 billion manat ($1.1 billion), or 24.1 percent, was invested in the construction of non - production facilities.
About 609.4 million manat ($358.4 million), or 7.4 percent of the investments, was spent on the construction of housing.
At the expense of enterprises and organizations, 59 percent of the total investment volume was invested in fixed assets, 20.8 percent of budget funds, 6.8 percent of extra-budgetary funds, 5.7 percent of bank loans, and 7.7 percent of other funds.
