According to the November issue of the Export Review, Azerbaijan's export volume amounted to $16.8 billion while in the non-oil sector it increased by $607.2 million or 42 percent and amounted to $2.1 billion from January through October 2021 compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
The export of food products increased by 3.2 percent or $582.2 million from January through October 2021.
During the corresponding period, export of ferrous metals increased by 3.2 times, copper and copper products – by 2.2 times, cotton – by 87.6 percent, organic chemicals – by 40.6 percent, sugar and confectionery - by 59.2 percent, aluminum and aluminum products - by 61.7 percent, precious metals - by 4.3 percent.
Moreover, gold ($166.1 million) topped the list of export of non-oil products from January through October 2021. In this list, cottonseed meal is in the second place ($160.7 million) while tomato is in the third place ($ 130 million).
