BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 26. Iranian banks issued loans worth 483 trillion rials (about $11.5 billion) in the industrial and mining sectors of the country, during the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022) Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, over 33 trillion rials (about $787 million) worth of loans were issued for the establishment of enterprises in the industrial and mining sectors during the reporting month.

In addition, 420 trillion rials (about $10 billion) worth of loans were issued as working capital in these sectors.

Within the 1st month, 26.3 trillion rials (about $626 million) worth of loans were issued for the development of Iran's industrial and mining sectors.

Also, 179 billion rials ($4.26 million) worth of loans were issued for self-employment in the industrial and mining sectors, and 276 billion rials (about $6.7 million) for the purchase of housing.

Furthermore, 7 billion rials (about $166,000) worth of loans were issued for repair work in the industrial and mining sectors, as well as 2.4 trillion rials (about $57.3 million) for the purchase of personal assets, the statistics said.

In total, the Iranian banks issued loans worth about 1.43 quadrillion rials (about $34 billion) in various economic sectors for the first month.

The figure stood at 265 trillion rials (about $6.32 billion) in the same month of last Iranian year
