Start-up companies in Iran's Mazandaran Province provided with loans

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 21. Overall, 5 trillion rials (about $119 million) worth of loans have been issued to start-up companies in Iran’s Mazandaran Province since the beginning of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2022 to December 21, 2022), Deputy Governor of Mazandaran Province for Economic Affairs Hassan Kheiranpour told reporters, Trend reports referring to ISNA.

Kheiranpour said that at the same time, a decision was made to provide another 3 trillion rials (about $71.4 million) in loans to start-up companies in the province.

“There are currently 130 start-up companies operating in the province, while in the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022), there were 99 companies,” he added.

According to the deputy governor, one of the important areas in the province is agriculture sector. Various plans have been prepared for startup companies to enter this sector. It is planned to provide loans worth 17 trillion rials (about $405 million) for the development of agriculture sector in Mazandaran Province.
