BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 8. Tax revenues in Iran increased by 43 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, an official of Iranian National Tax Administration (INTA), Mojtaba Amiri told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to Amiri, in total, Iran received taxes worth approximately 3.78 quadrillion rials (about $89.9 billion) in 9 months.

“Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at approximately 2.64 quadrillion rials (about $62.7 billion),” he added.

The official said that tax revenues from legal entities for the reporting period amounted to 1.71 quadrillion rials (about $40.8 billion), which is an increase of 71 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. The figure was 1 quadrillion rials (about $23.9 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.

“Within 9 months, income taxes in the country amounted to approximately 705 trillion rials (about $16.7 billion), which is a decrease of 5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure stood at approximately 742 trillion rials (about $17.6 billion) in the same period last Iranian year,” Amiri noted.

As for wealth taxes in Iran for 9 months, the official pointed out that the figure amounted to 114 trillion rials (about $2.72 billion), which is an increase of 44 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

He also pointed out that tax revenues from products and services in the country amounted to about 1.2 quadrillion rials (about $28.5 billion) in 9 months, which is an increase of 54 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, this figure was 780 trillion rials (about $18.6 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.
