BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 25. Total liabilities of Azerbaijan’s AccessBank increased by 25.32 percent as of December 31, 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, Trend reports via the bank’s balance sheet.

According to the balance sheet, this figure amounted to 1.05 billion manat or $617.6 million, up by 213.3 million manat ($125.47 million) over the year.

Deposits accounted for a significant share (81.43 percent) in the structure of AccessBank’s liabilities – 860 million manat ($505.8 million), which increased by 24.68 percent on annual basis.

The deposits of individuals amounted to 719 million manat ($422.9 million), up by 28.86 percent on annual basis. The share of these deposits in the structure of liabilities equaled 83.6 percent.

Nearly 141 million manat ($82.9 million) or 16.4 percent of the deposits fell on legal entities, meaning an increase of 6.97 percent over the year.

The bank's liabilities to credit organizations and other financial institutions made up 135.05 million manat ($79.4 million).

AccessBank’s liabilities to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan increased by 33.3 percent totaling 4.26 million manat ($2.5 million), while other liabilities – 26.2 million manat ($15.4 million).

The share capital of the bank stood at 270.1 million manat ($158.8 million) as of December 31, 2022 (an increase of 4.4 percent over the year).

Capital reserves of AccessBank amounted to 7.8 million manat ($4.5 million), up by 26.3 percent over the year. The retained earnings of the bank amounted to 165.2 million manat ($97.1 million).

The total capital of AccessBank amounted to 112.7 million manat ($66.2 million) in the fourth quarter of 2022.
