BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 6. The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) is set to bolster its partnership with the China Investment Corporation (CIC), Trend reports.
The delegation, led by Israfil Mammadov, CEO of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was recently on a working visit to the People's Republic of China.
During the visit, a meeting was held with Peng Chun, Chairman of the China Investment Corporation, focusing on the enhancement of mutual partnerships and strengthening the relationship.
Both parties discussed strengthening mutual partnerships and ties, emphasizing their shared interest in deepening cooperation.
CIC also highlighted that discussions covered inter-agency collaboration in various fields, the development of the "International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds," and investment opportunities.
SOFAZ has been operational since 1999, managing revenues from Azerbaijan’s international oil and gas projects.
