BAKU, Azerbaijan. October 1. A recent meeting of the working group (WG) on coordination and monitoring the implementation of green technologies and energy efficiency in Azerbaijan's liberated territories took place at the nation's Ministry of Energy, Trend reports via the ministry.
Chairing the working group, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, emphasized that under the guidance of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, significant progress towards establishing a green energy zone in the liberated territories has been made. The minister also noted the strategic objectives set for this initiative.
The agenda featured presentations on renewable energy use in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur and a report on the working group's 6th meeting's decisions. The report was provided on the results of monitoring the application of green technologies and energy efficiency in the liberated territories.
Also, information was shared regarding approaches to implementing heating systems, whether individual or central, in multi-apartment buildings in these areas.
Plans for putting solar panels on rooftops, along with the setup of metering devices and electric vehicle charging stations in the bustling cities, districts, settlements, and villages on the mend, were also on the table.
In conclusion, the group agreed to review reports on the discussed matters, address shortcomings identified during monitoring promptly, and ensure that future monitoring aligns with the implementation schedule, involving representatives from relevant institutions.
Attendees included representatives from state structures within the working group, as well as officials from the special representative offices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, legal entities of the public law "Service of restoration, construction, and management" of the liberated territories, the Shusha city State Reserve Administration, Azərigaz, Azəristiliktəchizat OJSC, and the Azerbaijan's Social Development Fund for IDPs.
