BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 14. A number of documents in the field of "green energy" were signed with Chinese companies within the framework of COP29, Trend reports, citing the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.
An executive agreement was signed between the Ministry of Energy, China Energy Overseas Investment Co. Ltd. and SOCAR Green LLC for a 160 MW solar power plant project in the Fizuli district. The Ministry of Energy and China Energy Overseas Investment Co. Ltd also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of renewable energy in Azerbaijan.
In addition, the Ministry of Energy and China Datang Co. Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the development of renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan. The memorandum envisages cooperation with the company in the field of investing in renewable energy projects, preparing feasibility studies, conducting relevant research, and exploring the possibility of establishing a Center for Research and Development of Renewable Energy Sources in Azerbaijan.
