Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 October/ Trend , S. Babayeva/ First national search portal of Azerbaijan YUMROO™ ( www ) was presented in Baku on 2 October. At the moment, testing beta version of the portal is being operated which will last two months, Anar Yolchuyev, co-founder of the portal said.
"Our key goal is make portal a point of access for internet users," Yolchuyev said.
Beta version of YUMROO™ will deliver also latest news, currency exchange, universal postal service, blogs, weather forecast and other services.
Mikhail Mammadov, co-founder of the portal, said the initial version of portal includes search functions, mail box of 1 Gb, news, discussion rooms, blogs, different articles, photo gallery and currency exchange.
Soon portal will also include contents for mobile phones, job vacancies, free online games, national messenger, and Azerbaijani-Russian-English electronic dictionary, advertisement about car sale, horoscope and mobile version of the portal. Different services for sale of internet sites, goods and services are expected to be opened soon.
Elmir Valizade, deputy minister of Communication and Information Technology of Azerbaijan said there is a great need for such kind of portal in Azerbaijan which will suit needs of Azerbaijani internet users.
Under business plan of the founders of the portal, number of the users of the portal is expected to reach 20,000 a day by the end of 2008.
Yumroo.az will be presented in three languages - Azerbaijani, Russian and English.
