Communications service ups in Azerbaijan

In January the communications services to the organizations and to population in Azerbaijan totaled 60.7 million manat, which 7.9 percent exceeds the figures of the same period of 2008, State Statistics Committee said. Of the general services, 77.2 percent fell the services provided for population.

Of the aggregate profits, 67.7 percent fell on the mobile communications, and in this segment increase was 0.8 percent.

The increase in the services in the economic region of Guba-Khachmaz was 12,2 percent, in Nagorno-Shirvan - 13.6 percent, Sheki-Zagatala - 2.9 percent, Lankaran - 2.5 percent, Absheron - 5.9 percent and in Ganja-Gazakh - 12.9 percent.
