As of 20 September 2010, another 3G technology based product of Azerfon-Vodafone is available for sales. Azerfon-Vodafone customers can now use 3G cameras to have remote video surveillance.
This device is presented to the mobile communication market of Azerbaijan for the first time and is simple to use. All Azerfon-Vodafone customers using mobile phones with 3G function can make a video call to the 3G camera, which has a sim card installed in. This will allow them to watch the area in real time mode.
While commenting on the importance of application of 3G based products and services in Azerbaijan Board Chairman of Azerfon Mr. Cuneyt Turktan stated: "We are happy to introduce 3G Mobile Camera by Azerfon-Vodafone, which different businesses and individuals would find as a useful 3G device. The fact that this product has been just introduced in the market shows that Azerbaijan's telecom market is in line with developments in the international telecom industry on the application of 3G technologies. In near future, we will present a few more interesting 3G based solutions to the market."
Having stylish design and superior features it allows individuals to watch remotely after their office, warehouse, garage, apartment, office, children or pets. Azerfon-Vodafone 3G camera allows customers to hear and see on the screen of their mobile phone all that is happening around the place where the camera is installed. One can even control the camera remotely with the buttons on the mobile phone. To use 3G Camera one will need 3G/UMTS mobile phone (video call capable) with Azerfon-Vodafone number. Mobile phone and 3G Camera shall both be within Azerfon-Vodafone 3G coverage area to be able to provide video call.
