Microsoft Azerbaijan started the implementation of the Peer Coaching program for teachers of the Azerbaijani educational institutions, the company said.
The project is implemented with the participation of organization MADAD, which holds special training for teachers.
At present, the training materials were translated into Azerbaijani language and distributed among the teachers chosen for the project participation.
Azerbaijan's participation in the program will be implemented under the Memorandum of Understanding on Partnership in Education signed between the Education Ministry and the Microsoft.
Peer Coaching Program is aimed at improvement of new knowledge and skills of teachers to support their colleagues, as well as implementation of active teachers as instructors in schools.
Teacher-trainers involved in the Peer Coaching program, will provide practical advice on the application of information technologies in education to other teachers working in schools. The presence of teachers / instructors in the schools will facilitate the use of ICT in education.
Microsoft's expert Les Foltos will hold the first training under the Peer Coaching program in Azerbaijan.
