Mobisky plans to expand its contactless payment system to goods and services in a number of shops and service facilities in Baku, the company told Trend.
The system is currently operating in the pilot mode at Baku subway stations. People traveling on the subway can purchase travel fares using the electronic balance on their mobile phones. The service is available to subscribers of the Azercell mobile operator.
To pay for travel, Azercell subscribers must send an empty text message to 9901 for a single trip, 9903 for three trips and 9905 for five trips. The cost of one trip is 99 units, three trips (295 units) and five trips (490 units).
