Azerbaijan, Baku, April 5 / Trend H. Veliyev /
The Radio-Communication Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) presented results on the registration of fixed stations in the timely land-service assignment (BRIFIC) database, Azerbaijani Communications and Information Technologies Ministry's State Radio Frequencies Department (RFD) said.
According to BRIFIC circulars received by the RFD, necessary work was conducted on studying the fixed services' transmission stations, radio stations, as well as stations of analog and digital broadcasting.
The database include five international information circulars of BRIFIC, which indicates the data on 56 fixed stations, 14 DVB - T stations, 62 FM and 49 analog TV stations, creating interferences to the Azerbaijani Communications Administration.
As a result of the first quarter, the State Radio Frequencies Department has prepared an application for registration of 23 stations of digital TV DVB - T and seven stations functioning in FM-diapason in BRIFIC, in accordance with the agreement GE-06 (Geneva-06), and has submitted the application to the ITU for consideration.
The GE-06 agreement envisages the possibility of coordination of frequency assignments between communication administrations. The GE-06 agreement describes the modification and coordination procedures for terrestrial broadcasting services.
The ITU Radio-Communication Bureau should be informed about any frequency assignment which may cause interference to existing and / or planned stations of another country, or be affected by such stations, to be registered with the Master International Frequency Register (MIFR), as deemed by radio communication regulations.
