Iran's Ministry of Information and Communication Technology plans to run national search engine by using China's experience, Mehr News Agency reported quoting Minister of Information and Communication Technology Reza Taghipour as saying.
"Iran is also eager to cooperate with South Korea to implement this project, the launch of national search engine discussed during South Korean delegation visit to Tehran," he said.
The minister of information and communication technology previously noted that the Iranian government seeks to launch national search engine to support the domestic demands where Iranian users chose this engine over Yahoo or Google.
The new search engine will possibly be named Ya Hagh, director of research and development in information communication ministry Hadi Malekparast said earlier.
