Azerbaijan will begin using electronic services in the registration of vehicles, as well as receiving the documents to issue the registration certificates, state license plates, driver's licenses, in connection with the technical inspection of vehicles soon, head of the State Traffic Police of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry Ramiz Zeynalov said in an interview published in the official newspaper Respublika on Saturday.
"The State Traffic Police conducts its activity in accordance with the state program "Electronic government", he said. "As a result, the services rendered by our department, will be transferred into on-line regime."
He said that to detect crime modern technical means are used, and successful reforms are implemented in other areas of activity.
"Establishment at the Main Directorate of centralized electronic data base allows to quickly obtain information about vehicles, their owners and drivers all over the country," Zeynalov said.
Along with this, he said, to obtain the necessary information about the services provided by State Traffic Police, the site and e-mail address were created that allows to promptly answer questions from people about the services.
"At present, the conditions have been created for receipt by the introduction of online license details of information on administrative penalties for traffic violations, including fines and payments, the number of points and their write-off," Zeynalov said.
