By Huseyn Valiyev – Trend:

License for production of a tactile keyboard made by Azerbaijani developers can be provided to major foreign high-tech producers, project manager Rusif Huseynov told Trend.

Huseynov said this issue is the subject of discussions with major international vendors. However, he did not name the companies.

"The deployment of production of this product in Azerbaijan is not possible due to the lack of the necessary infrastructure, so we want major vendors to manufacture it on a license basis. The product is patented in Azerbaijan and now we have applied for an international patent," Huseynov said.

The prototype tactile keyboard allowing to work with any alphabet was demonstrated at Bakutel 2017 exhibition. Its advantage is that it can be programmed into the alphabets of any language, including Japanese, Chinese and others.

The keyboard is built in such a way that every time when switching to the needed language, the user can see the letters on the keys. Electronic paper is used to display letters.

That is, when switching to the Azerbaijani language, the keys will reflect the letters of the Azerbaijani alphabet (ə, ö, ü and other letters).
