Foreign citizens spent 231.7 million manat ($136.2 million) via paying through bank cards in Azerbaijan from January through April 2020, which is 61.7 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, said the Export Review of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
According to the report, foreign citizens spent 19.7 million manat ($11.5 million) in Azerbaijan via bank cards in April 2020, which is 73.6 percent less compared to March 2020, and 5.2 times less compared to April 2019.
In 2019, foreign citizens spent over 1.25 billion manat ($735.2 million) using bank cards in Azerbaijan, which is 1.8 percent less compared to 2018.
Foreign citizens spent 1.27 billion manat ($747 million) paying via bank cards in Azerbaijan in 2018.
