It is planned to export computers assembled in Azerbaijan to the countries of Central Asia in 2020, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Innovations Export Consortium (AZINNEX) Farid Kazimov told Trend .
“In early 2020, the AZINNEX delegation visited Tajikistan by the invitation of the Smart City enterprise of the Mayor’s Office of Dushanbe city. During the visit, productive negotiations were held on the integration of a number of Azerbaijani technologies in the capital of Tajikistan. But the subsequent events regarding the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) suspended this process, as we invited the representatives of the Mayor's Office of Tajikistan to visit Azerbaijan and get acquainted with successful cases on the introduction of technologies in the urban environment, but so far we have postponed the organization of this visit,” Kazimov said.
“The coronavirus has had a negative impact on improving cooperation, as many negotiations have been postponed. To increase exports, Azerbaijani IT companies regularly visited various countries to conduct negotiations, which is naturally difficult now. We hope that the coronavirus will recede in the next 3-6 months and Azerbaijan will continue its high-tech expansion into various countries,” he added.
In 2019, AZINNEX focused on the countries of Central Asia, where high technologies are being actively introduced into the public administration system.
The Azerbaijan Innovations Export Consortium and the Electronic Government Center under the National Agency for Project Management under the President of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Intent, which involves a wide range of cooperation in the field of electronic government. In 2020, it is planned to expand cooperation and implement joint actions for the development of e-government in Uzbekistan.
