Finnish Nokia interested in introduction of 5G technologies Uzbekistan

Finnish Nokia confirmed interest in cooperation with Uzbekistan in the introduction of 5G technologies, Trend reports with reference to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Finland.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Finland Kadambay Sultanov held negotiations in the format of a video conference with the vice-president of Finnish Nokia corporation Mikko Lavanti, during which the parties exchanged views on the prospects for investment and technological cooperation with Nokia and the practical aspects of attracting Finnish scientific and technical potential to the IT and telecommunications sector of Uzbekistan.

Mikko Lavanti provided detailed information on the results of the talks in Tashkent during his visits to Uzbekistan in February-March and April. According to him, there is an active partnership with a number of the largest communication operators in Uzbekistan.

In addition, it was noted that the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation is facilitated by profound transformations under the leadership of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the purposefulness of efforts to introduce modern software products, information systems and communication resources in all industries.

It is reported that the interest of Nokia Corporation in cooperation with Uzbekistan in the introduction of 5G technologies in the country was confirmed.

In turn, Mikko Lavanti was informed in detail about the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of information technology and communications, including within the framework of the Digital Uzbekistan-2030 strategy,

Lavanti was also informed about the tasks set by the head of state to expand the coverage of digitalization of public services and the widespread involvement of young people in learning to program and creating startups.
