The cost of communication services rendered to the Azerbaijani population from January through March 2021 exceeded the figure for the same period of last year by 1.7 percent, Trend reports citing the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
According to the State Statistics Committee, during the reporting period, the cost of communication services amounted to almost 527,000 manat ($310,000), which is by almost 9,000 manat ($5,294) more than a year earlier.
"Some 86.7 percent of revenues from communication services accounted for Baku, which is 465,862 manat ($274,036),” the message said.
This figure amounted to 29,322 manat ($17,248) in the Absheron region, 4,328 manat ($2,545) - in the Ganja-Gazakh economic region, over 2,184 manat ($1,284) – in Sheki-Zagatala economic region, more than 1,607 manat ($945) - Guba-Khachmaz economic region, 4,892 manat ($2,877) - Aran economic region and 14,700 manat ($8,647) - Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The revenues from mobile communication and information services from January through April 2021 amounted to 716.2 million manat ($421.3 million).
