The average download speed for mobile and broadband internet in Azerbaijan reached 36.3 Mbit/s and 23.25 Mbit/s, respectively, in May 2021, Trend reports citing Ookla.
Reportedly, data download rates over the mobile communication network decreased by 4.5 percent in May compared to April.
Meanwhile, the outgoing internet speed over the mobile communication network was 14.3Mbps, falling by 9.2 percent.
According to Ookla, data download speed on fixed broadband dropped nearly 4 percent over the month.
In the reporting month, the speed of incoming and outgoing download via the mobile communication network stood at 54.54 Mbit/s and 12.63 Mbit/s, respectively, on average worldwide for the reporting period.
In accordance with the rating, Azerbaijan ranked 68th among 140 countries in terms of data download speed via mobile internet and 125th out of 175 in terms of data transmission speed with broadband internet access in March 2021.
