BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. Baku Telephone Communications LLC (Baktelecom) will present an internet speed of 1 Gbit/s for the first time in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
Baktelecom, together with Nokia, has already created the necessary technical infrastructure and conducted appropriate tests on various devices.
This project is aimed at providing high-speed Internet in 1 Gbit/s using GPON technology.
The new tariff will allow Baktelecom's customers to get the internet speed faster by about 10 times.
In addition, users will be able to save up to 40 percent of the energy consumed during the operation of the devices.
The use of the mentioned tariff will be available through a special modem provided by Baktelecom.
