Azerbaijan to Report on its Information Technology at Lisbon Conference
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / An Azerbaijani delegation, including Nariman Hajiyev, the Director of the 'National E-Governance Network Initiative' project, and Farid Karimov, the consultant of the project on development issues, attended the conference 'e-Society', organized by the International Association for Development of the Information Society (IADIS).
The specialists engaged in creating an electronic society from the US, Canada, Germany, Japan, South Korea and many other countries that joined the international conference.
Pat Commerce, the Chairman of the organizational committee, along with Co-Chairmen Pedro Isayash and Nyan-Shing Chen spoke on the necessity of working on creating an information society.
About seventy reports were heard at the conference, including reports by Azerbaijani representatives regarding the electronic state in Azerbaijan.
The reports were developed on the base of the following issues: electronic-government, -business, -trainings, -nationality, -health, information systems, and information management.
