Iran National Airlines Corporation (HOMA), known as Iran Air, will resume flights to Rome from Dec. 2, a company official Masoumeh Asgharzadeh said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Iran Air will resume its flights to Italy in response to requests by Iranians living abroad, the company official noted.
The Tehran-Rome-Tehran flights will be operated every Monday and Thursday, Asgharzadeh said.
Presently, Iran Air flies to Milan every Tuesday and Friday.
Italy canceled flights by Iran’s Mahan Air to Milan and Rome a few days ago as a result of the US sanctions against Iran. Thus, flights by Mahan Air to Italy will be operated until Dec. 15. The US has imposed sanctions on Iran in November 2018 and has expanded it in several phases.
