Iranian airline eyes operating charter flights to Uzbekistan

Iran's Aseman Airlines announced its intention to establish charter flights on the Tehran – Tashkent and Tehran - Bukhara routes, Trend reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

According to the information, issues of establishing charter and regular flights between Uzbekistan and Iran were discussed at the meeting with the participation of the deputy chairman for commercial issues of the airline, as well as the executive director of Persian Gulf Tourism travel company.

Head of the Air Transport Development Department of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan Donier Jumayev informed the Iranian side about the ongoing reforms to attract foreign airlines to the country, expand the geography of flights and increase their frequency.

Also, Jumayev spoke about the benefits provided to foreign airlines that transport pilgrims to international airports in Uzbekistan.

In turn, the leadership of the Iranian airline expressed hope that such negotiations will lead to fruitful agreements and pave the way for mutually beneficial cooperation.

At the initial stage, the airline announced its intention to establish charter flights on Tehran - Tashkent, Tehran - Bukhara routes.

According to the airline's plans, flights will begin in March this year. It was noted that later regular flights will also be opened.
