Iran's cargo transportation from West Azerbaijan Province increases

TEHRAN, Iran, April 18. Iran's cargo transportation via the West Azerbaijan Province border crossing has increased 61 percent in the past Iranian year (started March 21, 2021), said the director of Bazargan border terminal Jaber Akbarpour, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Total of 270,000 trucks have transported cargo via Bazargan border crossing in the last year that indicated increase compared to 2020," he said.

Iran has exported agricultural and petrochemical products, metal, and stone to Asia and Europe daily by 772 trucks via the Bazargan border. The country has imported industrial machinery, paint, fabrics, and spare parts from this route.

Iran's daily cargo transport via West Azerbaijan's five border terminals of Bazargan, Maku, Razi, and Serowvia is increasing post-pandemic.
