BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 27. Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli has met with Board Chairman of ‘Uzavtosanoat’ JSC Shavkat Umurzakov and Vice President of General Motors International Johnny Saldanha, Trend reports via the Ministry of Economy.
According to the ministry, the parties discussed the development of cooperation in the field of mechanical engineering, including the expansion of joint exports to the markets of other countries.
Bashirli noted growing trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, expanding cooperation in the field of mutual investments, and opportunities to strengthen the partnership.
Besides, Uzbek companies were invited to actively participate in business projects implemented in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
Umurzakov stressed that great importance is attached to the development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan, and shared his opinion on the directions of partnership development.
