BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) increased by 53.5 percent in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 150,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 7th month. Of this figure, 39,100 tons were loaded and about 111,000 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 27,400 tons of cargo were exported and about 106,000 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.

Also, 11,700 tons of cargo were loaded and 3,950 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as 493 tons of cargo unloaded for other purposes in the 7th month.

Some 81,300 tons of essential products, 15,400 tons of metal products, 10,100 tons of construction and mining materials, and 1,500 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 7th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, about 7,120 tons of chemicals, 17,500 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 16,300 tons of container products, and 159 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

In general, about 11.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 7th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.66 million tons were loaded and 5.94 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
