BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 23. The number of passengers transported through Iranian airports increased by 25 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, as was reflected in the statistics of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC), Trend reports.
According to the statistics, more than 26.2 million passengers were transported through Iranian airports in 9 months.
Meanwhile, in the same period of the last Iranian year, the figure stood at over 21 million.

Meanwhile, there are 54 civil active airports in Iran. Some 14 of them are international airports. An average of 30 million passengers are transported through Iranian airports per year.
