BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 30. The volume of cargo unloaded at the Fereidoonkenar port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 55.1 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
Approximately 129,000 tons of cargo were unloaded at the Fereidoonkenar port in the last Iranian year.
Of that, about 75,900 tons were unloaded at the port for imports, while 40,600 tons were for other purposes.
Also, 12,000 tons of cargo were unloaded at the port for other purposes during the last Iranian year.
Some 17,500 tons of essential products, and 58,100 tons of crude oil and related products were unloaded at the Fereidoonkenar port for the last Iranian year.
Overall, approximately 152 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports over the last Iranian year. Of that, about 80 million tons were loaded and 71.7 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 1.7 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year.
Iran's Fereidoonkenar port is located on 69 hectares of land. The port has 2 platforms and 700,000 tons of cargo can be loaded and unloaded in the port per year.
