Azerbaijan's SOCAR Georgia Gas (distribution of gas in the Georgian regions) restored the gas pipeline with length of 200 meters in Khashuri (Georgia), damaged as a result of the natural disaster, and resumed gas supply to the population.
According to the company's information, on June 18, the natural disaster damaged the pipeline, as a result of which gas supply to 300 subscribers was suspended.
Also the 400-meter section of the pipeline in the Surami region was damaged due to flooding of the Surameli River, and therefore 800 subscribers were left without gas.
Intensive liquidation work in Surami is underway. Gas supply is being gradually restored and will be fully restored on June 25.
SOCAR Georgia Gas is a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). At present, the company owns more than 30 gas distribution networks in Georgia.
