The members of the Mazhilis are concerned about decrease of population in Kazakhstan, reported Tengrinews.kz.

Mazhilisman Gulnar Seytmaganbetova warned about further demographic decreasing showing statistics at the meeting of the lower house of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, CA-News reported.

"The decrease will be in northern Kazakhstan by 17.8%, in Kostanai region by 12%, in Akmola region by 10%, in Pavlodar by 8%, in Karaganda by 4.9%, in western Kazakhstan by 2.9%, in eastern Kazakhstan by 8.8%. This all leads to the catastrophic decreasing of population to 2015. It is worrying us," Gulnar Seytmaganbetova said.

The national program should be developed that will lead to demographic increase in the country, Seytmaganbetova said. "We should increase the status of large families with 5 and more children. It is necessary to let these families with 4 dependent and more kids pay 50% of loan. Many families need housing. We need to give allowances for single mothers and young families," Seytmaganbetova added.
