In the election campaign in Kazakhstan, the Prosecutor General's Office revealed 15 violations of electoral legislation, chief of the department on control over legality in social and economic sphere of Prosecutor General's Office Kanat Seytgaparov said at the meeting of the public council on consideration of information disputes.

Measures were taken on all violations. They included warnings sent to five mass media, 2 websites, 6 newspapers and two TV channels. These violations were not blatant, Mr Seytgaparov said.

He said also 67 appeals were received by government bodies in the elections of deputies. Thirty-eight were received by the prosecutor office's bodies and 39 by election committees.

318 appeals were received over election of deputies to maslihats (local body of representative authority), 274 of them by prosecutor office, 65 by election committee 1 by maslihats, and 5 by interior bodies. 42 appeals concerned explanation of electoral law. In 32 appeals disagreement with nomination of some candidates was expressed. Only 2 appeals were related to mass media activities.
