The volume of gas exports in Kazakhstan amounted to 11.806 billion cubic meters in 2011 compared to 12.093 billion cubic meters in 2010, a source at the national dispatching department of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan told Trend.
In December, 2011, gas exports in the country amounted to 823 million cubic meters compared to 1.472 billion cubic meters in December, 2010. Thus, in November 2011, exports of gas in the country amounted to 23.8 percent under production of about 3.447 billion cubic meters.
Imports of gas in the country amounted to 4.318 billion cubic meters in 2011 compared to 4.55 billion in 2010. In December, 2011, imports of natural gas in the country amounted to 198 million cubic meters, which is 13.2 percent less than in November, 2011 and 50.7 percent less than in December, 2010.
